The Kansas Human Rights Commission works to prevent and eliminate discrimination and assure equal opportunities in all employment relations, to eliminate and prevent discrimination, segregation or separation, and assure equal opportunities in all places of public accommodations and in housing.  The Commission achieves its mission by investigating complaints alleging discrimination and through a public education program designed to prevent discrimination.

The NAACP of Kansas works to achieve equality, political rights, and social inclusion by advancing policies and practices that expand human and civil rights, eliminate discrimination and accelerate the well-being, education, and economic security of Black people and all persons of color.  More information about their work can be found on the NAACP Kansas website.
